How to use it
- Enter the dollar amount.
- Write the words on the line under "Pay to the order of", ending with the cents as xx/100.
- Draw a line after the words to the end of the line so nothing can be added.
How it works
On a US check, the written amount is the legal amount if it differs from the numeric box. Write dollars in words, then "and", then cents as a fraction over 100: one thousand five hundred twenty-five and 50/100.
FAQ
How do I write cents on a check?
As a fraction over 100 after "and": e.g. "and 05/100" for 5 cents, or "and 00/100" for whole dollars.
